Aims and Scope

Estudios Hispánicos is a journal published on behalf of the Spanish Section of the Department of Romance Philology,  University of Wrocław (Poland). It publishes an issue per year of circa 200 pages, entirely in Spanish (or in Romance languages of the Iberian Peninsula), with original scientific research (some issues featuring monographic sections), reviews, research notes and documentary information.

It promotes and disseminates research into Literature, Linguistics, History, Language Didactics, Translation, Cultural Studies in its many peninsular, Latin American or Hispanic American manifestations.

All research articles undergo an external peer review process by two anonymous referees, i.e, double blind review (see section Evaluation Criteria) and include title, abstract and key words in English. The authors must carefully observe the instructions for authors (see section Guidelines for manuscript submission). Articles are published in order of acceptance.
Research notes and reviews of recently published books, as well as documentary information are commissioned by the Editorial board, although unsolicited submissions are also accepted. They do not undergo the external peer review process.
